September 21-22! It’s time for AJET’s yearly welcome party for new JETs in Aomori Prefecture! This is for new JETs, sempai JETs, JET main squeezes, and friends! Please put this date on your calendars and get ready to have a great timeand meet all theold and new JETs!! We’ve kept it the same price as last year: 3500 yen with no inflation:) This gets you cabin, food, entertainment (2 burgers, 2 dogs, fixins, chips)! It’s BYOB.

WHO: Anyone! Especially new and sempai JETs!
WHAT: Party, BBQ, Dancing, Sleepover, Night Games
WHERE: Shichinohe Family Campround. This one can be a bit hard to find. We will put up a google map with a pin on it along with some directions so you can find your way. If you have a smartphone, use your navi.
WHEN: Sat 9/21 – Sun 9/22. (You must arrive NO LATER than 6PM, as the gates will close to the campground)
HOW MUCH: 3500 yen. This includes, a CABIN, FOOD, ENTERTAINMENT
**This will be BYOB, but come prepared with your favorite beverages! (There MIGHT be jell-o shots if you’re lucky)
This is for EVERYONE, and we want EVERYONE (the heavy binge drinker, the non-drinker, the shy, outgoing, foreigner, Japanese, young, old) to have a good time! This’s a great chance to start forming new friendships with JETs and the JET community.

対象:どなたでも参加自由。特に新旧JETの皆さん。
内容:パーティ、バーベキュー、宿泊、キャビン・コンペティション(アメリカの高校生などがサマーキャンプなどで行う、宿泊場所対抗のゲーム)
場所:東八甲田家族旅行村
少しわかりにくい場所かも知れませんが、Googleマップを添付するので参考にしてください。スマートフォンをお持ちの方は、ナビで問題ないと思います。
日時:9/21(土)〜22(日)
午後6時で門が閉まるので、それ以前に到着するようにしてください！
料金:3500円(宿泊、食事、その他を含む)
多少変動するかも知れませんが、なるべく早く正式な金額をお知らせしたいと思います。
※飲み物は各自で用意してもらうことになります。お好きなものを準備してきてください。

FAQ
We’re getting 100% beef burgers, hot dogs (which is like a mix of everything), veggie burgers, fixins, chips. So if you want the veggie ones, please make sure you include this and DON’T take veggie ones if you don’t mark veggie. We’ll also be getting some chips and snacky things to munch on, but these might go quick. Of course, you can always bring your own food for your 4th meal and cook it on our grill. Your cabins should have a mini fridge inside, and on Sunday morning, we’ll fire up the grills for you to cook your breakfast! This year, we’ll have the grills going as soon as you arrive.
Do we need to bring our own drinks?
YES! BYOB. Everyone has different taste in drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. AJET will also be cookin’ up Jell-O shots for 100 yen a piece if you’re into that sorta thing (we totally are). All proceeds will go to help fund AJET for more future events, so if you are so inclined, you can always donate more monies:)
YES! There are tons of spaces to sleep in these cabins, including futons and bunks, but by the looks of it, some of us will indeed be sleeping on hard surfaces, so bring a futon, your pillow, and your stuffed Koala Bartholomew.Can I invite my Japanese friends or people who aren’t JET?
ABSOLUTELY. Is it ever a party without Japanese folk? Please make sure they understand about the RSVP deadline.
What are night games?
AJET will have games lined up where we’ll split into teams and play flashlight tag, capture the flag, or something of the like:) Also, bring your Catan boards/cards etc and get ready to play!
